Soddy Trapper's Cabin

This pole-framed structure began its exhibit life at the village as a typical representation of an important aspect of Canadian Prairie homesteading. Sod houses–or ‘Soddies’–were a quick and easy build, providing pioneers with temporary shelter until more permanent quarters could be constructed.
