UNIDENTIFIED ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANGER

A member of the Rocky Mountain Rangers poses in typical military mufti. Only the shape of the hat was consistent in RMR uniforms.

The Rocky Mountain Rangers were raised in Southern Alberta for the defence of the range country in the 1885 Northwest Rebellion. A third of the unit derived from Pincher Creek, as did the unit's command structure.
